Shufti Magazine
  • Shufti Magazine – a magazine communicating the journey of a schizophrenic between ‘reality’ and ‘non-reality’. Japanese folds are used to conceal the smaller publication (non-reality) within the larger (reality). Reality must be ripped open and irrevocably damaged in order to reach non-reality.

A magazine exploring the word 'dissonance'. The narrative follows a schizophrenic girl and her travels between the countries of Reality and Non-Reality. The larger booklet represents Reality and uses japanese folds, which upon ripping open, reveal the smaller booklet of Non-Reality hidden inside. To fully experience Non-Reality, Reality must be irreversibly torn apart; those who do not tear Reality, can only peek at Non-Reality from the outside.
